The frequency of follow-up appointments will depend on your individual prescription. Typically, monthly follow-ups help us monitor your progress, ensure you’re meeting your weight loss goals, and prevent any delays in medication delivery. Once you’ve reached a maintenance dose, follow-up visits may be spaced out further, depending on your prescribed dosage.
-
We encourage you to book a follow-up visit with us to review your progress toward your goals. During this appointment, we will assess your current treatment plan, make any necessary adjustments to your medication or dosage, and issue a new pharmacy order as needed. To ensure continuity in your care, please aim to schedule your follow-up when you have approximately one week's supply of medication remaining.

Nausea, vomiting, gas, or bloating: These medications are designed to slow down the motility of your digestive tract. Eat smaller meals, and take your time while eating. Avoid foods that are high in fat, high in sugar, or are heavily processed. Nausea may also be a sign of low blood sugar. Eating a simple carbohydrate snack (e.g., a banana) can help alleviate this type of nausea.
Constipation: Again, this is caused by the decreased motility of the digestive tract. Stay hydrated by increasing your water intake and eating high-water foods like fruits and vegetables. Slowly increase your fiber intake.
Headaches: Dehydration and low blood sugar may result in headaches. Drinking plenty of fluids or eating a simple carbohydrate snack can help alleviate headaches.
Indigestion & Heartburn: You guessed it! A symptom of decreased digestive motility! Avoid lying down 1-2 hours after eating. Eat smaller meals more slowly and avoid high-fat or highly acidic foods such as caffeinated beverages, tomatoes, and citrus fruits.
